About The EFA Movement

Our Vision

Joseph Cohen is an established author and contributor to multiple publications.  He served in the New York City School District prior to that for decades.  His book, "Write Father, Write Son", is an inspiring story of his journey as a father and the bond-building process he and his son embraked on together.

The signs can be seen in bullying incidents and low self-esteem, in increasing rates of teenage suicide and in the disturbingly frequent school shootings.

These incidents are all “red flags” that call attention to one aspect of parenting that continues to receive far too little attention – the relationship between fathers and sons. The impact of fathers on the psychological well-being and social behavior of their children has been well documented.

The dangerous and extreme results of boys who are allowed to grow up without the positive bond with their fathers has been documented in school shootings, bullying incidents, and increased rates of teenage suicide.

Children who have a positive home environment will bring that to school with them. That’s taking the home, and empowering its growth into classrooms, which will have a tremendous impact on the teachers and faculty, too. They will then go and bring it out even further to their families, and their communities too!
